Botox
Botox treatment achieves temporary freezing of the facial muscles . As a consequence, expression lines are reduced or eliminated and the skin is smoother and has a more youthful appearance.
The technique is very safe and has been successfully used for many years. Through a fine injection in specific areas of the face, a minimal and harmless dose of purified botulinum toxin is introduced in to the underlying muscles that are responsible for the expression lines.
The application of Botox is almost painless and the possible side effects are practically non-existent or minimal. Some bruising or temporary swelling is possible but usually the day after the treatment the patient can go back to a totally normal life.
Doctor’s Recommendations
Botox treatment is suitable for a very wide range of patients, aged from 30 to 65 years. This is because Botox is not only used as a treatment for existing lines, but also as a prevention of future expression lines. Botulinum toxin is also used with great success in the treatment of hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) of the forehead, armpits, hands and feet.
Results
